One of the main challenges that come from electric cars is that they have limited battery. However, the challenges are pretty much removed as soon as you end up having a solution that will charge a car battery in less 5 minutes. Yes, a startup from Israel named StoreDot managed to do this, and they finally brought in a technology that has the potential to revolutionize electric vehicles more than you might imagine.

The company still has some ways to go when it comes to making this tech better and actually feasible and more powerful. There are still demanding situations that can appear, but the truth is that their tests work really well, and they will bring in great success. It will take a while for the solution to become commercially feasible.
In fact, the main reason for that is in order to get such a fast charge, you obviously need high power chargers for the charging stations. The potential is definitely there, and you can get some extraordinary benefits if everything is tackled in an appropriate manner. Plus, more testing is needed, yet the current tests are more than encouraging. It just goes to show that you can get a lot of success and tremendous results, it’s all a matter of adapting everything correctly and making sure that the process itself is adapted to bring in the necessary benefits and success.

Even if it might take a few years for the charging stations to receive an upgrade, the benefits are significant. Many companies and investors already spent quite a bit into the startup, with the British company BP plc actually investing $20 million itself into the business. They already provided an interesting solution for scooter charging, drones and phones.

StoreDot has managed to raise $130 million from investors, and there are quite a lot of them. Some of the more notable companies include Daimler AG, Samsung Venture Investment and TDK corporation. This is interesting and it goes to show that you can access some incredible benefits and features. The company has already manufactured in China by the Eve Systems firm. So yes, the StoreDot technology has already started to emerge on the market, albeit in small amounts at this time.

These samples are said to be just the beginning, with more coming very soon. It just goes to show that yes, while there are challenges, the benefits outweigh the cons, and in time we will be able to see this technology soon. These samples are actual engineering samples that come from a mass production line. There’s a commercial benefit here, and the overall results are pretty staggering here.

While we don’t know the possible costs related to this tech yet, we do know that it’s promising and this can be great news for electric vehicles. It’s just an amazing opportunity and one of those things that can make a massive difference in the coming decade. StoreDot’s technology is definitely something to keep an eye out for in the near future!
